People who are extremely sensitive to caffeine can find Matcha has a similar effect to coffee. If you are finding that 1/2 tsp is over stimulating, reduce your intake to 1/3tsp or even a 1/4 tsp per serving. These cases are rare as the caffeine in green tea is very different to that in coffee.
