An Extraordinary Year - 2018

I’d like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.  All of us here at OMGTea appreciate your ongoing support and wish you much happiness and health in 2019.
 
I also wanted to take the opportunity to reflect on the past year; 2018 has been an extraordinary one for OMGTea with many firsts for both the brand and for me too…
  1. New product launches 

    OMGTea Iced Matcha range in Original, Citrus and Mint – How to video
    Launched in January, our range of ready-to-drink matcha is ideal for drinking on-the-go and uses innovative twist cap technology to keep our premium AAA Grade Organic Matcha fresh and nutrient rich.
    Available in a wide range of stockists including Daylesford Organic, Sourced Market and Fenwick, the full range will also be available for purchase from Ocado from the beginning of January 2019.

    OMGTea Organic Matcha AAA Grade Single Serve - This little beauty just launched in November but it is already getting great feedback.  Inside the premium tube, there are 14 single serves (1 gram) sachets, making it a convenient travel companion, a thoughtful present or stocking stuffer. At the moment, it is available on our website only but there are plans for it to launch across multiple other retailers early in the new year so watch this space!

  2. New listings

    We have seen a significant increase in our retail distribution across our entire range this year, with new listings, such as Daylesford Organic, Planet Organic, Caviar House & Prunier as well as an exciting partnership with Harvey Nichols! We will also see OMGTea AAA Grade 30g launch in Ocado alongside the Iced Matcha range (as mentioned above) in early January 2019.

  1. I was on national TV talking all things OMGTea and Matcha!

    Having been invited to apply to appear on BBC Two’s Dragons’ Den, my time in the den was aired on November 25th.  It was one of the hardest things I have done but overall a great experience and one I will certainly never forget. You can read more about my experience here.

  1. New Website! 

    If you haven’t noticed already, we launched a new website in November.

    We’ve also added quite a few new products to the website including an electric matcha whisk, handmade pottery bowls and tea strainers. We even have a lovely OMGTea branded canvas bag that makes a stylish gift or hold-all. Definitely worth a look if you haven’t had a chance to visit yet!

 

So… it’s been a rather busy year for us. I am looking forward to taking some time out over the holiday season to enjoy it with family and friends.
