OMGTea is now a Certified B Corporation!

This milestone means the world to us. Sustainability, health, and wellbeing have always been at the heart of OMGTea, and becoming a B Corp is an incredibly proud moment. It places us among a growing community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.

Although we’re a small business, we’ve always been driven by a big purpose: helping people live healthier lives through the power of quality matcha. Our B Corp journey began more than a year ago and required dedication and reflection. The process challenged us to look closely at what we do- from how we pack our product to how we operate as a team. It has strengthened us both as a business and as people.

We’re especially proud to share to achieve a B Corp score of over 100 points, a true testament to our commitment to making a positive impact.

The B Global Network and B Lab UK explained

B Lab is a non-profit network transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities and the planet.

It was created in 2006 with the mission to inspire and enable people to use business as a force for good. There are B Labs across the globe (forming the B Global Network) including Australia, East Africa, mainland Europe and North and South America. B Lab UK is a charity that launched in 2015.

Becoming a B Corp isn’t just recognition of what we’ve already achieved- it’s an opportunity to grow in alignment with our values. The certification connects us to a global community of businesses that share our vision for a fairer, healthier, and more sustainable world. Through that network, we’ll be able to collaborate, share ideas, and access new partnerships that help us strengthen our environmental and social impact.

It also gives us a clear framework for continuous improvement. The B Impact Assessment holds us accountable across areas like governance, community, environment, and employee wellbeing- helping us track progress and identify where we can do even better.

Every decision we make, from sourcing and packaging to shipping and marketing, is guided by our values. We are proud to offer only 100% organic matcha and are continuously exploring more sustainable practices across all areas of our business.

Growth is often seen as being at odds with sustainability, but we see it differently. For us, it’s an opportunity to increase our positive impact by supporting wellness, deepening environmental commitments, and expanding our charitable efforts.

As our Founder Katherine explains:
